“A picture is worth a thousand words”
We want to use a fashion blog to tell our stories and to successfully make a buzz in the virtual world for our client. Blogging is a wonderful platform to do PR for fashion especially because it can include as many gorgeous photos as you like without any printing cost to worry about! No matter how wonderful and expressive your writing can be, there are no better ways to describe fashion than using a picture.
Therefore, pictures are what really matters in a fashion blog.
Digital fashion PR tools for pictures
Tatiana Read of Knot PR shared several of her favorite cloud apps to help the ever-busy PR people and here are her list of digital fashion PR tools. I have a couple I find useful to aid with your photos.
Flickr is one of the best tools you can get to help you manage your photos and share them with whoever and whenever you need to. Many PR firms use Flicker is a platform to store and share their images used for projects. It’s not only about uploading images and sharing them, it allows you to tag, filter, categorize, organise and even provide you with stats!
Dropbox is already quite famous among Internet users. It enables you to sync files across several computers, share files with people or even let them download the files via a link provided by Dropbox. Amazing tool to use when you have hi-res images to send across!
Successful blogs with successful photography
Even if you were to be equipped with all the digital PR tools, if you don’t have amazing photos to share, your fashion blog is highly unlikely to be… well, ‘not so popular’.
